The End of an Era - Everson Borough

After almost 50 years of service in the Fay-West area, “Snorkel 14” has now gone 10-7 for the final time.
As of 0900 hours Wednesday, June 7th, 2023, “Truck 14” was officially placed into service by the members of the Everson Volunteer Fire Company. Truck 14 is a 2023 Pierce Enforcer with a 107’ ladder. This piece replaced Snorkel 14, which was a 1974 Mack R-600 with a 55’ Snorkel — the ONLY snorkel mounted on a Mack R Chassis.
I had the opportunity for a brief photo shoot of both pieces prior to one last parade for the Snorkel. Truck 14 is one of 3 new Pierce apparatus in the area, Engine 58-2 and Rescue 74 (to be delivered soon) have taken to the streets as well. This aerial will serve the area for many years to come!!

The Everson Volunteer Fire Company welcomed home their new 2022 Pierce Enforcer 107’ aerial for the weekend! This brand new piece arrived in the Borough last evening for members of the department and their families to see.
An open house for the final arrival of this piece will take place at a later time, but I was able to get a few snapshots of it this evening! This sharp piece will serve the Fay-West area for many years to come and will be replacing their current Mack R Snorkel.
